Directing people to you is what your business card should do. Stacked along with hundred other such business cards, is yours really contributing anything to your business?

If its not compulsory for you to follow a standard format for your business card, you are free to put together the most creative ideas and come up with the one that will stand out the most, of course, it should match your brand image.

The business card should thus be designed to persuade the prospects to pick your business card over any other options. If your business card can do this then, your job is half done.

Design your business card worth keeping. Give the reader only the necessary information in the front of the card and at the back side of the card, you can include some general interesting facts related to your product/ business. Give reason for the prospects to go further with your business card. Whole point is to make them want to know more about you so that they will come to you.

Make sure you do not follow the regular colour scheme for your card, go a little over the top (but, do not over do it). For example, a lemon green card amongst many other black and white cards will definitely catch the eye. You can also give a try altering the font. Avoid fonts that are uncomfortable to read and style the letters in a really outstanding manner keeping in mind that the colour of the font should go with the background.

You can design your business card, cut it into shapes (for example, for a real estate business card, cut it out in the shape of a house), or try the whole idea with some other materials other than paper. How about a metal finish business card?
